Veterans United is seeking a System Support Administrator to join the information technology team. This position will not be originating loans.
Responsibilities:
  • Front-line, first level internal service desk.
  • Providing end-user support for desktop PCs, peripherals, phones, and network devices.
  • Troubleshooting and supporting intranet and corporate website issues.
  • Diagnosing and fixing hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
  • Installing and configuring software packages and operating systems.
  • Installing new desktop hardware (PC’s, laptops, thin clients).
  • User account management (adding accounts, managing account privileges, resolving password issues, etc).
  • Creating and updating training documentation for end users and support personnel and trouble history of inventory.
Necessary Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to write clearly and concisely; Courteous, responsible, diligent, and helpful; quick and efficient learner
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, networking or similar field preferred.
  • Experience in IT technical support and end user support.
  • Able to install/configure computer hard drives, memory, and other computer internal components.
  • Familiar with computer peripherals (monitors, printers, etc.) and their installation and configuration.
  • Familiar with common software packages (MS Word, Excel, HTML, etc.).
  • Able to physically lift, move and carry computers, monitors, and printers (40lb loads).
  • Capable of working effectively without supervision.
  • Able to independently resolve issues using internet resources
