Our Meetings & Events department provides expert advice, project leading, event management and servicing in all aspects of travel, meetings & events to American Express’ customers local and globally.

Jobdescription:

This position has an overall responsibility will be leading the Nordic market (3 locations, 4 managers and about 60 meeting planners) and deliver on Transformational Growth targets. The role will have full P&L ownership and is accountable for overall profitability of Meetings & Events Nordic based in Stockholm.

Responsibilities lies within developing the talent and the growth mindset within the Meetings teams through 1-1 coaching, performance management, competency assessments, training, feedback, regular meetings and formal appraisals.

Advocates personal growth within the teams to broaden the knowledge and skills required for Meetings & Events management, also maintain and improve employee satisfaction through the change process. Other key responsibilities will be P&L management . Reviews in monthly financial reports and make recommendations and take action to meet plan and forecast. Through providing regular communication to update management and team on progress against performance targets goals will be targeted.

Responsibilities
- Communicate the overall strategy to the Meetings Team and foster a growth mindset.
- Ensure full alignment with the Sales and Client Managers growth strategy throughout American Express Business Travel and the Global Meetings team. This will include the ongoing development of client relationships to ensure client expansion as well active participation in new sales.
- Meet or exceed quality and customer satisfaction standards, and SLAs as defined and agreed with client base, and measured by CSAT surveys (customer satisfaction surveys).
- Work with our suppliers to build relationships and generate revenue
- Ensure the full adoption of new technology within the team
- Build strengths and Growth Mindset within the Nordic M&E team
- Develop local new sales strategies with the central sales team.
- Ensure coaching and development of the team through Performance Management Process
- Support the implementation of process improvements of new technology to provide E2E solutions and automation for existing manual processes.
- To optimize the efficiency of resource and maximize productivity across markets
- To achieve targeted financial results and cost and quality objectives
- To assume responsibility for the continuous improvement process
- Effectively plan and manage resource to maintain service levels through seasonal volume fluctuations.
