Basic purpose
|
The successful
candidate will be coordinating and conducting farmer participatory adaptive
trials, fine-tuning technologies and training extension staff and farmers
reached out to -in partnership with a range of NARES, public, private sector
partners and NGOs to deliver integrated technology solutions to resource poor
farmers.
|
Roles and responsibilities
|
- Agronomy and
extension related responsibilities: i.e. Conduct needs assessment for
selected districts through field visits
- Partnership development and coordination responsibilities: i.e. Develop field level private and public partnerships for technical work plan implementation - Documentation responsibilities: i.e. Manage,analyze and report data from farmer participatory trials Qualification Requirements: - Bachelor's/Master's degree or equivalent qualifications/experience in crop production, agronomy, soil science, extension or other agricultural areas - At least five (5) years demonstrated experience with farmer participatory research with a particular emphasis on soil, water and crop management with resource-conserving technologies for rice - Conversant in English, Hindi and preferably Oriya |
