Specialization/Skills	5 years of Professional driving experience of light and heavy vehicles.
Basic purpose	Under the close supervision of the Senior Manager, the successful candidate will provide quality transportation or driving services for officially dispatched trips for IRRI staff, collaborators and visitors. Convey passenger(s) and cargo(s) timely and safely to the points of destinations. Maintain excellent and roadworthy assigned vehicles.
Roles and responsibilities	Major Accountabilities / Responsibilities *Provide quality transport services for IRRI Assets (persons and items) • Transport IRRI staff, visitors or VIP's safely to any destination assigned by IRRI; • Perform scheduled trips for shuttle services; • Deliver/Pick-up important institute documents; • Ensure comfort and safety of all passengers, by driving safely and according to the traffic rules; • Replace other drivers when needed. *Provide proper care and maintenance of assigned vehicle in collaboration with mechanics and Senior Assistant - Mechanics Advisor • Check for the roadworthiness of assign vehicle before the trip; • Submit Vehicle Condition Report if there’s unusual condition in the vehicle after the trip; • Ensure that the vehicle is clean and presentable and all necessary tools are on board. *Provide Emergency Roadside Assistance to IRRI personnel with assigned IRRI vehicles. *Act as Officer in Charge on average one week every two months • Handle phone calls; • Handle simple dispatching tasks; • Respond to emergencies. *Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor from time to time. Qualification requirements • High school graduate; • Minimum 5 years of Professional driving experience of light and heavy vehicles. Specific Skills required • In possession of Professional Driver’s License with restriction code of 1,2 and 3; • Has knowledge of the roads towards and in City; • Has Basic oral communication skills; • Has participated in First aid training; • Has participated in Defensive and Tactical Driving Trainings; • Has knowledge of hotel location, government offices and embassies; • Has driving experience in area.
