Meet
the stakeholder’s, analyze technical papers vs. business cases related
to the ICT Technology such as Infrastructure, Network (Data &
Voice), Security and other pertinent domains, construct new procedure
manuals, institute other important information and take the necessary
steps towards resolving any problems with the business for NPI. Prepare
technical blueprints, comparative graphs, charts and analyze documents
which show what changes need to be taken by the stakeholder and why.
Perform
reports in ICT NPI analysis which shows what steps of improvement were
taken or needs to be taken as a result of the analysis and anything
further the management intends to have to take business critical
decisions on NPI into Ericsson existing global IT environment.
Responsibilities
To identify, analyze, specify, validate & verify, plan and provide BITA (Business IT Alignment Support) to NPI requirements.
› In
depth knowledge and experience in IT Network Management with ability to
conduct IT advisory tasks for introduction of new products into the
existing Global IT Network
› Ability
to conduct integrated business planning during introduction of new
products into Ericsson Global IT Network with clear understanding of
impact on network architecture, traffic management, network performance
and derive risk analysis and identify technology readiness GAP, if any
› Seasoned
in NPI life-cycle management: Idea generation / Idea Screening, Concept
development, Testing, Business Analysis, BETA & Market testing,
Technical implementation, Commercialization, New Product pricing and
product launch. Proficient in developing governance model for NPI for project management, integration management and change management.
› Prior
experience in Network management activities, good knowledge of
methods/procedures/tools that pertain to the IT Network operation,
administration, maintenance, and provisioning of networked systems
› Collaborate
with IT Infrastructure and Network operations team and deal with
keeping the network (and the services that the network provides) up and
running smoothly, while introducing new solutions into existing Global
IT environment
› Ability
to validate perceived risk vs. real risks and gage impact of a new
product/solution integration into existing Network (Data & Voice)
› Provisioning network capacity and requirements prior to introduction of new products into existing global IT environment.
› Proficient in characterizing network management functions is FCAPS—Fault, Configuration, Accounting, Performance and Security.
› Efficient
to perform network change management activities with core development
teams with responsibility of controlling, planning, allocating,
deploying, coordinating, and monitoring the resources of a network,
network planning, frequency allocation, predetermined traffic routing to
support load balancing, cryptographic key distribution authorization,
configuration management, fault management, security management,
performance management, bandwidth management, Route analytics and
accounting management.
› Collection
of data for network management through mechanisms, including agents
installed on infrastructure, synthetic monitoring that simulates
transactions, logs of activity, sniffers and real user monitoring. In
the past network management mainly consisted of monitoring whether
devices were up or down
› Should
be efficient in analysis of transactions amongst IT Infrastructure,
Software platforms, R&D engineering and business with fair
understanding of “Need to Solution” for NPI
› Should be capable for gathering information and verifying “Market Requirement Document” (MRD)
› Good business acumen of ICT products in context of evaluating and suggesting what makes sense to the business
› Accountable for success of New Products in Ericsson environment
› Should
be efficient in defining market opportunities, measure needs, explore
design concepts, develop detailed design and steer deployment.
› Prioritize product introductions, suggest production schedules and monitor NPI life-cycle
› Be the primary operations interface to the core product development team and other functional organizations within Ericsson.
› As
an ICT NPI Consultant either through direct involvement and/or
influence, ensure the successful launch of the product towards meeting
it’s stated Cost, Quality, Schedule, Availability and Customer
Experience goals.
› Work with the operational side of worldwide new product introductions for a specific modules as and when required
› Provide consulting assistance to new product introduction efforts within the Operations sphere.
› Engage with OEM partners and Ericsson NPI core development teams to develop, ramp and introduce products
› Matrix-work
with team members from across all functions within Operations to
develop new product plans - typical functions include Business Planning,
GSM, Cost, TPM, Quality, SQE, TE, DFX, DFM, Regional Product Teams,
Ops, Finance, etc
› Represent
operations with the product design teams. Use production expertise to
influence and negotiate for DFX, supply chain, testability, and
management of features
› Proficient understanding of business processes in “Solution Area – Product Life-Cycle Management & Product Management”. Ability
to understand Product Life-Cycle Management & Product Management
management, policies & Process, inclusive of business procedures to
conduct discussions on all functional requirements and map them to the desired IT Solution Functionality.
› Good
understanding of Product Life-Cycle Management & Product Management

the requirement for Go/No-Go decisions and create business plan if

Architecture
› Provide
expert telecommunications consulting. Interpret business requirements
into technical network solutions framework. Provide technology roadmaps
governed by strategic direction, business requirements as well as
resourcing and financial constraints. Liaise with enterprise, server and
applications architects to ensure alignment across technology
portfolios
› Accountable
to create, develop and maintain the Infrastructure & Network
Architecture, ensuring consistency inside the domain between business,
information and technology architecture.
› Accountable to develop the Infrastructure & Network Domain roadmap to reach the architecture target state.
› Accountable to develop the set of technical solutions within the NPI scope (logical solution architecture).
› Responsible to ensure IT architectural principles, architecture standards, design patterns and frameworks are followed.
Governance
› Responsible to design and maintain best-practices in the idea-to-launch process and its governance
› Develop CAP “Change Acceleration Process” frameworks for NPI
› Responsible to supervise architecture compliance within the Domain development teams – Solution Area (SA).
› Responsible
to ensure IT investments within the Infrastructure & Network Domain
are made in alignment with architecture transition plans.
Leadership
› Accountable to lead architecture work within the Domain across organizational borders
Communication
› Accountable to communicate/motivate Domain architecture decisions to stakeholders inside and outside ITTE Competences.
› Should
build strong process orientation, statistical evaluation methodologies,
tools and systems to derive data driven strategies connected to

› Deploy change with methodologies like PMP, create real-time dashboards to monitor.
› Work
with Solution Area - Product Life-Cycle Management & Product

conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up
from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish
user requests from the underlying true needs.
› Proactively
communicate and collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to
analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the
following artifacts as needed: (Functional requirements (Business
Requirements Document), Use Cases, and Interface designs), Knowledge of
estimation.
› Collaborate
with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical
vision and analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs.
› Drive
process standardization for all Product Life-Cycle Management &
Product Management N2S pre-studies and document best practices as
use-cases for future reference.
› Conduct program management for all projects & initiatives aligned to N2S
