Job Description
The Quality Assurance Department at FactSet is responsible for monitoring and testing the quality, consistency, and reliability of FactSet’s windows and web-based applications. QA Analysts will collaborate with members of development teams consisting of product managers, software developers and QA staff. Interaction with other members of the development team is a large component of the job.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain and execute test plans for FactSet’s applications.
- Ensure that all domain knowledge and test cases are articulated and structured well to enable swift execution by any other member of the QA team.
- Monitor, manage, and report problems and bugs with applications.
- Work proactively with software and product developers to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Work with Information Systems and software developers to automate testing processes.
- Conduct manual or automation tests for new features added to applications.
- Document all testing activity with applications.
- Develop and report performance metrics for applications.
- Ensure consistency of applications with other FactSet applications and products.
- Develop expertise with FactSet’s financial data applications.
Job Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Proven experience in Quality Assurance
- In depth experience in writing and updating Test Plans and Test Cases. Hands on experience in executing test cases
- Understanding of SDLC
- Ability to design, plan, build and execute test processes based on loosely defined business requirements
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and effectively alter goals
- Strong interpersonal, communication and documentation skills
- Very strong organizational skills and attentiveness to detail
Highly Desired:
- Experience testing software related to real time market data service environment
- Prior experience with automation is needed. A strong plus would
be the use of automation tools such as Test Complete, QTP (Quick Test
Pro) or other tools tools
