Develop
sales within the respective sales region(s) of Bioprocess Cell Culture
Consumables, which is in this case mainly Germany. This is a home office
based sales position and as such the candidate must reside within their
territory in order to support this role.
Accountability for delivery of growth and sales budget of Cell Culture Consumables within the region
Identification of target opportunities within the region
and development of appropriate strategies to maximize the realization of
revenues
Planning, development and follow-up of sales strategy for
target opportunities in collaboration with Account Managers, Sales
Specialists, General Sales Manager, other stakeholders and potential
supporters.
Mentor and support Account Managers and Sales Specialists in development of sales of the product line
Champion the business internally to the rRegion, with close engagement with regional commercial Team. Represent the Modality.
Initiates sales process by building relationships with key
customer personnel; qualifying potential and implementation of sales
tactics.
Develops sales by making initial presentation; explaining
value proposition and driving the customer validation / design in
process. Introducing new products and services within the respective
product platform accountabilities.
Closing both new and renewal business
Give applicative support incl. trouble shooting and answer customer queries of sophisticated technical and applicative nature.
Contributes information to sales and business strategies
through deep understanding of market trends and competitor landscape
including SWOT analysis
Provide visibility of progress through continuous update of tolls including CRM’s (GPS and Bridge).
Generate and update regional forecast information on regular basis including variances, risks and op-portunities.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational
opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal
networks, participating in professional organizations, etc.
Participate in internal network groups to map global
accounts and track projects worldwide in order to maximise revenue and
design-in.
Regular travel is required
Life Sciences Degree and preferred Cell Culture Laboratory experience
3+ years field sales experience within Bioproduction Market
Commercial experience with Upstream Consumables
Existing customer relationships a distinct advantage
Fluency in English and German (spoken and written)
Strong knowledge and background of Cell Culture product portfolio
Direct employment in a biotech or pharmaceutical production or process development environment
Proven effective sales record in previous positions
High degree of self-motivation and prioritization skills
Excellent communication & presentation skills
Ability to work within a multi-cultural matrix organisation
