Our goal is to help our customers get the more out of their Innovation investments and to better manage their Application Lifecycle in order to support their innovation agenda. This team is in particular focused on the testing and quality assurance of SAP Hana, SAP Mobility, and SAP Cloud, but will still have a strong grounding in the traditional SAP Applications space. This candidate must be willing to learn about these newest technologies while still applying traditional testing best practices by being a thought leader in this space. The Technology (Senior / Principal) Consultant (f/m) will be responsible for the formulation and execution of testing approaches for SAP implementations and upgrades and for continuous improvements to existing testing programs/methodologies. The consultant (f/m) will present the testing strategy and recommendations based on the customer requirements and capabilities using proven testing methodologies and best practices. The test approach will focus on the whole Software Delivery Life Cycle and cover functional, performance, and technical testing. The consultant (f/m) will also be contributing to the SAP testing services pipeline by seeking additional business opportunities and by supporting business development with demonstrations, track sessions, and other pre/post-sales support activities. The Technology (Senior / Principal) Consultant (f/m) will primarily be responsible for the successful delivery of consulting services with regards to performance and/or functional testing processes and tools for SAP customers. This includes the design, implementation, execution, maintenance/support, and customer mentoring. Additionally, the consultant (f/m) will be required to provide support for internal initiatives to develop new and/or enhance existing collateral processes, documentation, etc. This person (f/m) may be responsible to manage a large testing team or program, but must also be self-sufficient and capable to work on their own with a hands on approach, based upon the situation and customer needs.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
- Independently deliver successful consulting engagements for Testing Solutions
- Commercially Focused but Quality Driven
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently and with teams
- Actively drive testing Pre-Sales activities in EMEA
- Performance and/or Functional Test Management & Strategy
- Performance and/or Functional Testing script execution
- Contribute to Performance and/or Functional Innovation testing best practices
- Customer Mentoring
- Effectively lead project teams consisting of SAP consultants, delivery partners, and/or Client resources. These teams will also consist of onsite and off-shore resources.
- Communicate with client leadership on testing approaches, best practices, project risks and recommendations.
- Automate test scripts with testing tools SAP LoadRunner and Quality Center by HP, SAP TAO, or SAP Native tooling such as CBTA, Test Workbench, TDMS etc.
- Analyze and map clients business requirements, processes, and objectives in SAP Solution Manager.
- Become the trusted advisor for customers and continue credible business partnerships.
- Proactively support with the creation of Testing Services collateral and content while leveraging repeatable processes. These assets could then be used towards the development of new products and Testing Solution delivery packages.
- Assist in internal business development initiatives.
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Over 5 years of top tier consulting experience or equivalent
- Over 2 years of practical experience in the testing of ERP business focused applications and information systems
- Over 3 years of practical experience with SAP LoadRunner and/or Quality Center and/or Quick Test Professional by HP and/or SAP Solution Manager
- Must have a proven track record of hands on experience with one of the tools being Supported
- Must have a proven track record of team or project testing leadership
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- University degree in a related field or substantial work experience required
- Knowledge of or certification in one of the industry testing certifications is a plus (ISEB, ISTQB, TMAP etc.)
- Tools Installation and Support is a requirement
- Performance and/or Functional Testing script creation and/or detailed knowledge of SAP Solution Manager is required
- HP or SAP Certifications are a plus
- Good knowledge and understanding of SDLC
- Basic knowledge and understanding of SAP hardware infrastructures
- Experience with SAP TAO, SAP TDMS, and/or SAP Solution Manager
- Experience with any of the SAP innovation products is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Project management experience
