This role is responsible for analyzing customer needs and customer benefits as well as for defining product requirements. It provides application support to the sales teams and coordinates with engineering, service and marketing team stakeholders. The Clinical Applications Analyst acts as the interface between customer input, commercial marketing, and services to integrate product roadmap requirements.
• Identifying customer needs and defining requirements including user interface design for the product development team

• Engaging with customer stakeholders (physicians, IT staff, hospital admins, clinical supporting staff) to demonstrate product capabilities and gather feedback for product/solution development

• Contributing to the definition, design and refinement of software products and services to address customer needs

• Developing (clinical) competition intelligence to bring feedback to product development teams as well as providing expertise to service, sales and support teams to bring customer voice

• Providing clinical expertise to the product development team to aid in developing product or solution capabilities based on customer needs and benefits

• Communicating customer feedback to the engineering and service teams for pilots and NPIs

• Participating in Medical Advisory Board meetings to build the application roadmap

• Actively seeking information from customer groups, service teams and marketing to influence the product roadmap

• Developing product backlog based on market needs, prioritizing the backlog and defining customer expectations as well as making decisions on product capability

• Providing product support to sales, marketing and demonstration teams

• Assisting with customer engagements, focus groups, user groups, advisory boards and other market-related activities to assist in the collection, definition and validation of market needs and requirements

• Maintaining and updating the release system with the latest configurations

• Assisting development engineers with some database configurations

• Satisfying the product owner role to define tasks, priorities to the scrum team in an agile development environment and provide customer voice

• Transferring clinical knowledge and new functionality of the product to service and application specialists
• Degree as a nurse or relevant healthcare nursing skills in the Cardiology environment

• Several years of working experience in a Cardiology department of a hospital or clinic

• In-depth knowledge of Cardiology workflows specifically ECHO, CATH (Catheterization) and EP (Electrophysiology)

• Several years of experience in the medical industry

• Highly qualified in clinical applications

• Very good communication and presentation skills

• Strong influencing skills

• Experience in interacting with customers

• Ability to translate customer requirements into Engineering language

• Fluency in English (spoken and written)
• Knowledge of XML (Extensible Markup Language) and SQL programming

• Knowledge of healthcare and medical standards such as DICOM and HL7

• Knowledge of registries such as NCDR CATH PCI, ACTION and CARE registries

• Knowledge of Windows based user interface systems, Crystal reports and dictation devices

• Experience with the Agile Development methodology and preferably Product Owner experience

• Teaching ability: ability to present complex material/techniques in comprehensible terms, presenting a professional image

• Fluency in German (spoken and written)
