    Develop sales within the respective sales region(s) of Bioprocess Cell Culture Consumables, which is in this case mainly Germany.

    This is a home office based sales position and as such the candidate must reside within their territory in order to support this role.
  • Actively identifies new opportunities through all available sources.
  • Exploring actively new opportunities together with the respective Account Managers and follow up by setting meetings.
  • Initiates sales process by building relationships with key customer personnel; qualifying potential and prioritize; scheduling appointments, initiating testing & providing technical support.
  • Give application support incl. trouble shooting and answering customer queries of sophisticated tech-nical within the Cell Culture and/or Process Development field. Facilitate and promote design-in of product platforms through support of customer and delivery of expertise in the field.
  • Track and support adoption of the company's platform products through the process development cycle, overcoming objections along the route.
  • Protect existing business and manage the renew processes as required
  • Budget accountable for sales of the respective product platform within the sales territory.
  • Contributes information to sales strategies by evaluating current product results; identifying needs to be filled; monitoring competitive products; analyzing and relaying customer reactions. Feedback of market trends and opportunities.
  • Continuously document progress of projects in related CRM (GPS, Bridge). Highlight contingencies and opportunities to secure accurate forecast and budget information.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Co-ordination of contacts with other possible resources external to sales (e.g. Product Managers in Uppsala and Westborough) to support the customer related projects.
  • Active participation in internal and external training, e.g. technical lectures during customer seminars
  • Life Sciences Degree or higher, preferably PhD
  • 3+ years Process Development expertise, preferably within a Biopharmaceutical environment
  • Practical laboratory experience with Cell Culture systems including CHO
  • Commercial experience with a field based role
  • Existing customer relationships within Process Development a distinct advantage
  • Fluency in English and German (spoken and written)
  • Regular travel, up to 50%, is required.
  • Excellent Cell Culture expertise within Biopharmaceutical Process Development
  • Direct employment in a biotech or pharmaceutical production or process development environment
  • Proven effective sales record in previous positions
  • High degree of self-motivation and prioritization skills
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills
  • Ability to work within a multi-cultural matrix organisation
