Role Summary/Purpose	The person covering this role will help to develop and maintain the capability of Computer Aided Engineering software and tools. He/She will also provide support to the user community in order to detect and propose performance improvement solutions.
Essential Responsibilities	• Code and maintain Computer Aided Design (CAD) applications • Participate in preserving CAD applications in acceptable operation levels • Support mechanical engineering user community through incident and problem management processes • Coordinate user Communication planning • Perform software configuration management and version control • Participate in a global software development team • Contact and gather customer requirements • CAD Release Management expert (packaging and deployment) • Support Custom, Third Party and PLM integrations
Qualifications/Requirements	• BS +3 years of experience or MS +1 years of experience in Mechanical, Computer Science or related engineering degree • Proven programming experience • Excellent English communication skills • Data base fundamentals • Willing to learn new tools and new fields • Ability to work in a global team • Problem solving skills • Windows or Unix system administration
Desired Characteristics	• Mechanical design practices and process understanding • Knowledge of Agile software development practices • Working knowledge of NX • Product Data Management (CAD) support with 2 years of experience, particularly for NX • Computer Aided Design tools development with 2 year of experience • Experience in more than one programming language like C, C++, C#, JAVA, FORTRAN, Perl, Ruby, etc. • Oracle data bases
