Bond Syndicate (m/f)
Loan Capital Markets
Loan Capital Markets is responsible for the Syndicate Function for all debt capital market products within Erste Group (bond, private placements (PP), Schuldschein promissory notes, loans). The Bond Syndicate desk acts as a hub between origination and sales for benchmark as well as bespoke bond issues including retail bonds, private placements. Your prime responsibility will be Sovereign Supranational Agencies (“SSA”) coverage - winning and executing SSA mandates with DCM. The position is based in Vienna.

...will be responsible for covering sovereign flow business acting as back-up for FIs/corporate deals. You will act in a focused and coordinated fashion, proactively communicating with debt capital markets origination, other syndicate managers as well as sales supporting origination in the acquisition of mandates;
...prepare and present high-standard syndication proposals to debt capital market origination, senior client representatives, clients, internal approval committees, etc. within a professional, cross-border team of 10 people (Vienna, Bucharest & London);
...manage and execute underwritings booked by Syndicate;
...manage and co-ordinate transactions through all aspects of execution (documentation, book-building, closing);
...actively seek on-going dialogue with sales/end investors to meet borrower as well as investor demand;
...work in a multi-cultural environment and are aware of cultural differences;
...have a university degree and at least 5 years of experience involving bond syndicate or origination/structuring;
...understand Euro bond/PP documentation standards and are able to interpret bond documentation;
...have a sound understanding of current market and pricing trends for CEE & European benchmark bonds;
...are fluent in English, German desirable;
...offer presentation and negotiation skills, ideally tested in a debt origination or fixed income sales role;
...possess excellent interpersonal skills and communication abilities;
...are a strong team player, willing to put exceptional effort in return for a rewarding environment;
...have a proven ability to formulate targets and achieve results;
...are ambitious, driven and focused.
