These systems—System z, Power Systems and System x—are typically the core technology in data centers that provide required infrastructure for business and institutions. Also, these systems form the foundation for IBM’s integrated offerings, such as IBM Smart Analytics, IBM Netezza, IBM SmartCloud Entry and IBM BladeCenter for Cloud Teams at ISTL are involved in designing and developing Operating Systems including Linux, AIX, zOS, Storage Systems and High Performance Systems. Apart from these areas, teams also work on key technologies in the areas of Networking, File Systems, Virtualizations, Super Computing and Processor Architecture. B.E./B.Tech M.E./M.Tech (CSE, ECE, IT ) – M.Tech is preferred AIX Network Device Driver Developer The Network Device driver team is looking for an experienced and senior technical person to design and develop the I/O ( Network ) Device drivers on AIX. AIX is the flagship UNIX OS from IBM and is the leader in Commercial UNIX market segment. The job requires working with a very high performing team on cutting edge technologies like Virtualization, RDMA, RoCE. Also lead the various efforts to deliver a factored, reusable model of the device driver. The individual will need to collaborate very closely with Hardware, firmware, TCP/IP , VIOS teams across the globe. Technical Skills Required • Experience in writing Kernel device drivers on UNIX • Expert knowledge of unix internals, kernel programming, memory management, network layers is a must. • Expert C programming skills • Experience in Virtualization, RDMA will give you an added edge. • Have excellent written & oral communication skills • Should have very good problem solving and analytical skills. • Keen to work hands-on R&D activities creating new innovative software products. • Keen on Technical stream – non-managerial career,

Required Bachelor's Degree At least 8 years experience in Strong UNIX - Userspace & Kernel Programming using C ( Mandatory) At least 5 years experience in Writing device drivers for Network Devices, excellent knowledge of ethernet/TCP/IP. Prior experience in developing 1G/10G ethernet drivers on UNIX platforms. ( Mandatory) At least 8 years experience in Strong Debugging skills using dbx,gdb,kdb etc At least 9 years experience in Strong C Programming At least 9 years experience in Strong Communication skills & Positive work attitude English: Fluent

Preferred Master's Degree in Engineering
