| Serves as key producer of MS-SQL & mySQL database deliverables for assigned projects and areas. | |
| • Develops pro-active database management solutions
• Designs, tests and installs database management systems for use with applications • Monitors database usage and performance, providing support and troubleshooting assistance • Ensures appropriate linkages with applications to other data processing systems • Responsible for control, integrity, and accessibility of databases with multiple concurrent users • Constructs database specifications, provides fault isolation and resolution, tunes database applications for optimum performance, and implements disaster recovery and contingency plans • Coordinate efforts in line with the "bigger picture" to maximize the overall value of IT service delivery and demonstrated history resolving conflicts in priority | |
| • BS Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical discipline
• Minimum 5 years of SQL Server or mySQL database administration experience • Minimum 2 years of experience with 2 of the following: Managing SQL Server in multi-instance environments, Windows server operating system knowledge, TCP/IP networking support, in conjunction with SQL Server, Managing mySQL databases • Awareness of and ability to deliver compliance requirements • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interface and influence at all levels in the organization • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and facilitation skills • Analytic, creative and technical problem solver | |
| • Green Belt certified
• Microsoft certification (MCM, MCA, MCITP) database administrator • Understanding of Polyserve and/or Microsoft clustering solutions for Windows • Expert understanding of Microsoft SQL Server best-practice security model • Prior HIPAA (HITECH) or equivalent regulatory experience • Advanced understanding of Reporting Services, Analysis Service and Integration Services administrative features |
