| As a Service Engineer you will support new and existing customers within the marine and offshore segment.
You will work on-site to provide services, upgrades, commissions, trouble shooting, training and supervising on Drive systems. | |
| · Checking that company and suppliers’ equipment is installed in a safe and operable condition in
accordance with the designed requirements · Telephone and email support, including assessment of trip history data, and proposals for solutions to problems · Servicing, fault-finding and commissioning of fixed- and variable-speed drive systems, including PWM, DC and thyristor-based drives, and their associated analogue and digital regulators, in addition to transformers and motors · Installation and checking of all cabling, switchboards, circuit breakers, contactors, transformers, UPS systems, generators and motors · To produce/update as-commissioned documentation/drawings following modifications in accordance with independently audited Company Quality and Safety Management Systems e.g. BS EN 18001 and Classification Societies e.g. Lloyd's Register and DNV | |
| · Higher National Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent from a reputable College
or University. · Experienced with AMCs, PCs, network equipment, PLCs, variable-speed drives · Drive and PLC software familiarity (ladder diagram, functional block diagram, etc.). Ability to create PLC software functions and analyse software functionality · Experienced with Protection relays, digital and analogue and PC/PLC equipment. · Must have established record of site work. · Record of MV/HV training and operations. · Driving Licence · Familiarity with IEC and marine classification society rules. · Good Norwegian and English communication skills, written and verbal. · Willingness to travel in Norway and to overseas destinations on short notice and for short periods. | |
