| The role will drive business and IT & Process Excellence (IT&PE) compliance and provide enhancement and production support HP Hardware Design Specification Assessment Document (HDSA) and related products. Also this role will effectively drive business and IT asset management requirements, implement effective solutions, and provide enhancements and production support to asset management applications and deriving management information on asset holdings. | |
| The
IT Technologist will provide incremental development to support
changing functionality requirements including Workflow development,
customized scripts, dashboards, reporting, and the ability to train
internal IT resources on usage of management solutions.
• Build a roadmap for implementing new features of asset management platform • Identify opportunities to use platform to improve efficiency of IT operations teams • Integration of various HP and third-party monitoring tools into asset manager • High availability and management platform scalability • Work with various internal and external customers to identify their management requirements • Design solutions to meet those requirements, and production support of HP BTO solutions and related infrastructure • Create CI’s in a hierarchy structure within asset management to feed into uCMDB • Update view’s to provide enriched visibility to support teams & the management structure • Create reports based on agreements with recipients • Develop service level agreements (SLAs) based on business/customer need • Troubleshoot failures from within the tools • Design, create and implement internal HP Asset Management tailoring • Create performance test plans, scripts and executes performance test scenarios • Support and participate in performance tuning with the technology teams for close collaboration | |
| • BS Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical discipline or equivalent
• Five years IT experience • Three years of experience with software development and/or configuration experience at the architectural level • Expertise in designing, planning, implementing and administering HDSA, HP Asset Manager, HP connection discovery tools • Expertise in designing, planning, implementing and administering Crystal Reports • Experience with one or more platform technologies (Sun, HP, Intel, etc.) • Experience with two or more operating systems (Solaris, Windows, Linux, HP-UX, etc.) • Awareness of and ability to deliver compliance requirements • Knowledge of real user experience asset management tools, auto discovery processes, applications mapping, effective reporting, and the creation of dashboards • Experience in interviewing internal & external customers including various IT groups to understand management needs and their conversion into asset management solutions • Developing documentation on procedures and guidelines for daily tasks, and experience in training internal IT groups on monitoring platforms • Strong team player abilities with excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task and deliver multiple complex projects • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and facilitation skills • Analytic, creative and technical problem solver | |
