Role Summary/Purpose	This position is for engineer role for Product engineering Center of GE Aviation at Bangalore.
Essential Responsibilities	Design/Analysis support for aircraft engine Composites/Metal components under Impact loading conditions like Fan Blade Out, Bird Ingestion, Ice/Hail Impact and Tip rub using LSDYNA. Correlation/Predictions of the Composite Fan Blade Behavior under the Bird strike and Fan Blade Out conditions and support for the engine certification. Good results Interpretation and documentation skills
Qualifications/Requirements	Masters in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or relevant 2+ years of experience in Impact Dynamics Simulations Knowledge of Solid mechanics, FEA, Vibration and Impact Dynamics Team player & Effective interpersonal skills Demonstrated problem solving skills with excellent presentation and communication skills Unfailing dedication to deadlines and commitments
Desired Characteristics	Experience in UG/Ansys/LSDYNA/Hypermesh Knowledge of mechanics of composite materials Design and analysis experience on Jet Engine components Familiarity with aircraft engine hardware like Fan, Casings, Compressor Knowledge of FORTRAN/C/APDL will be an added advantage Familiarity with FAA/JAA requirements for engine certification
