will interface with customers, partners, suppliers, your team, and
senior leadership within Aviage Systems. In this role, you will:
• Utilize ability to develop and execute priorities and plans for self and / or others; an understanding of purpose, role, and interdependence of functions is required • Provide leadership and technical direction for a multidiscipline engineering team across multiple projects in an assigned product area • Demonstrate problem solving ability through experience / exposure with managers, functions, business teams, etc. • Be accountable for delivery of multiple projects, on-time, within budget expectations, with best-in-class quality • Responsible for product area project planning and implementation (cost, schedule, & status) • Responsible for all aspects of 3rd party product development, • Participate or provides input to the Joint Change Control Board (as required), • Effectively communicate with internal / external customers and/or senior leadership while assuring a quality product is being developed and delivered, • Team across Engineering to identify / deploy most appropriate and common project management tools and processes to drive efficiencies and cost savings • Lead Engineering Project Analysts in detailed analysis of process and schedule dependencies and promote effective areas for project improvement • Demonstrate competency in using standard project management tools • Utilize proven financial, analytical, and budgeting ability • Utilize strong oral and written communication skills • Utilize strong interpersonal skills • Utilize ability to write clear project specifications, give clear instructions, communicate with customers of all levels of an organization • Drive strategy for the evolution of the IMA product line • Lead technical contribution to new business initiatives • Develop overall technical capability of the IMA team | |
| • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• Minimum of 10 years of technical leadership experience in a related field • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Project Management position • Experience in the Aircraft or Avionics Systems area • Ability to improve processes and get buy-in as a change agent | |
| • Executive level presentation skills
• Project Management Institute (PMI) or Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI) certification • Minimum of 15 years of technical and / or project leadership experience in an Aerospace product development (or equivalent) position • Experience in Earned Value Management (EVM) |
