The Asia Pacific Goldman Sachs University (GSU) team develops and executes a global people development strategy and programs in the areas of leadership and management, culture and orientation, products and markets, professional skills, and diversity and inclusion.Job Summary & Responsibilities
This position will be based in Tokyo and reports to the head of Goldman Sachs University in Japan. This Associate position will play a critical role in working within HCM and across all divisions in APAC to execute learning and development initiatives that support the firm’s goals, as well as to manage programs for select divisions and locations.
Principal Job Responsibilities:
• Act as a program manager to partner with the business to analyze needs, design and execute people development initiatives
• Work closely with regional and global counterparts to design and execute quality programs
• Provide management information and analysis on people development activities
• Facilitate discussions, trainings, and learning events
• Consult clients, propose and implement organizational development (team development) types of activities such as divisional offsites
Basic Qualifications
• Minimum of five years experience preferably in learning/organization development or business equivalent• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Well developed organizational and administrative skills
• Client service orientation
• Strong project management skills in a matrix structure
• Ability to work independently as well as ability to drive processes and decision-making
• Ability to solve problems and explain the ideas that underlie them to clients and colleagues
• Ability to develop and manage relationships across the firm and with senior stakeholders
• Self-starting and enthusiastic in approach to work
• Open and sensitive to cultural / global differences
• Strong Word, Excel, and Powerpoint skills
• Prior experience in either learning and development, banking operations, consulting, performance management, or human resources
Preferred Qualifications
