The Position

Oracle Unit Lead
The Position:

• Lead a multinational team of employees, in aligning goals and ensuring targets are met.
• Ensure efficient and effective delivery of operational plans based on agreed IT processes, standards and tools.
• Perform all administrative processes and procedures ensuring all Database infrastructure and operations services meet their operational target as defined in OLAs which includes, Technical Support, Systems administration and Support for ITSM Processes according to Global standards.
• Support the relevant infrastructure components to achieve high availability and performance. This includes installing, configuring, administering, and fine-tuning Database Servers and related infrastructure components across the organization in a timely, costly and efficient manner.
• Provide cost effective Database infrastructure to our customer community ensuring maximum performance and efficiency.
• Move towards consolidation/virtualization to increase the efficiency of the Database services infrastructure.

Purpose and Mission:

• Keep the business running.
• Supports the assigned infrastructure components to achieve high availability and performance of the various business applications supported.
• Ensures installation, configuration and operation of the environment within cost targets.
• Assists in managing the assigned infrastructure components across the organization ensuring high efficiency and effectiveness.
• Supports the ITSM Processes according GI standards (Configuration, Change, Problem Management, etc.).
• Collaborates with the rest of the GI functions to ensure alignment among the relevant organizational units.
• Contributes to the concept, planning and execution of projects.

Who You Are

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years IT management experience regarding in multiple areas of business or technology domain
• Experience in large scale server environment services required within the relevant area of technology
• Databases technology knowledge (e.g. Oracle Database, MySQL, MS SQL Server, etc.)
• Cross experience is envisaged as an advantage
• Experience in highly regulated environments (e.g. Pharmaceutical) advantageous
• Project management experience desirable
• Led teams, also in virtual environment
• Customer, quality, cost and delivery focused
• Excellent coordination and organizational skills
• Responsible and reliable
• Strong communication skills
