The Job Grade could be G11or G10 depends on the candidate
- Responsible for packaging innovation, included design and Sim-Pack, mock-up development, pilot development, and commercialization.
- Develop and enhance packaging design, optimization, and validation capability for driving packaging innovation efficiently.
- Provide strong technical support for all packaging innovation.
- Identify and develop innovative packaging technologies and design, which will improve the consumer & customer satisfaction, cost, and sustainability of KO brands for driving the business growth.
- Leading packaging development projects, effectively delivery of the packaging development accomplishment via working collaboratively with the cross-functional team.
- Develop team, provide training and sharing to relevant team members for enhance the team capability and growth with the success of the business.
Key Result Areas:
- Build up packing design capability; develop it to high level of beverage packaging industry.
- Integrate design activities with modelling and simulation system, optimize the packaging innovation process, and develop package innovation to be our R&D core competence.
- Improve package development quality and speed, and maximize package development outputs.
- Set up packaging innovation data base; accumulate packaging development knowhow and skills.
- Manage package innovation project effectively and deliver project on time on budget.
- Leading package project commercialization, implement the projects to region and BU effectively, provide strong technical support on post lunched packaging projects.
- Develop related lab test methods and equipment & tools for validate the new development effectively.
- Built close working relationship with cross functional team.
- Provide training, share knowhow and experience for developing team and help cooperation partners.
- Strong support on develop packaging innovation pipeline and road map.

Building a business case
- Leads cross-functional teams to interpret information, assess risk, and build scenarios (e.g., develop products with consideration of COGS, packaging and process) to make compelling recommendations for small to medium sized projects (e.g., category or geographic)
- Serves as a technical lead, leveraging scientific data and business acumen to present holistic solutions at Stage Gates for small to medium size projects
Developing and managing research pipeline
- Develops research objectives and implements technical research plans across multiple short- and mid-term

- Guides and evaluates the technical research of others, analyzing data and drawing conclusions to inform pipeline decision-making

Functional Skills:
Functional Expertise in field
- Recognized packaging expert in field of design and new packaging development
- Demonstrates critical thinking and deep technical knowledge in at least one or more of the following packaging technologies: injection molding, 2 steps PET ISBM, plastic closure, glass bottle, CAD/CAE for packaging, plastic materials for packaging, and etc. and a practical knowledge in other disciplines within research or development; applies knowledge in completing work responsibilities.

- Applies leading-edge knowledge of packaging to develop innovations which lead to new projects and support IP strategy
- Designs plans to validate investment requests necessary to enhance existing or develop new concepts

Knowledge & Experience6 - 10 Years + BS/MS or PhD + 6 years’ experience in packaging development
Education & Professional QualificationBS or above in Materials/Polymer Science, Mechanical Engineering, etc.
Language RequirementsGood communication skills in both Chinese and English.
Travel RequirementsTravel from 10 to 30% of work time under normal conditions
