General
· Manages employees and sets individual goals that link to departmental priorities.
· Define the appropriate business processes, best practices, communications tools, and systems that stores will use to maximize operational efficiencies within a particular functional area.
· Be a liaison between Lean Business Systems (LBS) and the business. Support store system strategy development, enhancements, and roll outs.
· Evaluate current business processes and systems and identify opportunities for improvements; prioritize these opportunities and determine key areas of focus.
· Influence retail leadership to ensure that key operational initiatives are given high visibility and priority.
· Create, review, and implement process and policy improvements. Ensures that company policies and procedures are followed and executed.
· Develop communications plan for functional area of expertise and ensure that stores have adequate information to implement operational improvements.
· Select, lead, evaluate, coach, train, and develop a team of Retail Operations professionals.
· Work with TSD and GEO Sr Operations Manager to develop strategic operations initiatives.
· Apply management expertise to set direction and resolve problems in own discipline
The person holding this position must:
- Work with the Territory Retail Director, Concept Managers, and EMHQ Ops team to further develop and implement store operations programs including but not limited to:
a. Store processes
b. Store Systems
c. Workforce management
d. Operational Performance Reviews

f. Stockroom and receiving/replenishment standards

- Maintain operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures
- Contribute to the hiring, on boarding, and development of store management teams.
- Lead and support programs to enhance sales in the Retail Stores. This includes but is not limited to mystery shopper programs (MSP), loyalty programs, employee motivation programs, sales, service, and leadership training, etc.
- Manage and coordinate bi-annual total physical inventory and weekly cycle counts together with Inventory Finance team.
- Secure merchandise by implementing security systems and measures. Train store teams on LP and Customer Service.
- Protect employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment co-working with Nike Security team.
- Maintain the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements
- Responsible to ensure ongoing operations and/development of the Micros Retail (POS system)
- Contribute to store design, openings, closings, and refits to ensure operational requirements are shared with business partners and that stores open/reopen/close on schedule as much as possible.
- Actively recycle and promote conservation principals within retail operations.
- Develop an annual Operations budget that effectively allocates resources to meet financial and business objectives. Manage the budget for the Store Operations department and track status on a monthly basis.
