Role Summary/Purpose:     As a Field Service Engineer Trainee You will learn how to be an expert in rotating equipment, focused on site activities management such as planning, manpower resources/tools assignment and technical assistance to complete the work scope according to the contractual requirements
Essential Responsibilities:    
- Learn how to prepare field services jobs and interventions in connection with the project managers based in the GE Oil & Gas offices.

- Learn to Assist Start-up Engineer during the commissioning phase ensuring proper and safe operation of the machine by evaluating the running parameters and troubleshoot control system problem as they arise

- Learn how to Write accurate professional reports acting as single point of contact between Customers and GE Oil & Gas Headquarter concerning technical issues and interfacing with all involved functions

- Learn how to Use company e-tools to retrieve technical documents and management of packing list, bill of material and drawings

- Learn how to carry out all in-field activities safely, complying with company environmental Health & Safety (EHS) guidelines and procedures.

- Learn the installation, calibration and set up of instruments

- Learn thow to lay cables, meggering and connection

- Learn how to execute loop check and commissioning, performing the functional tests.

- Learn how to execute unit start-up and performance tests

As a specialist in either Gas Turbines or Centrifugal Compressors or Reciprocating Compressors or Steam Turbines You will:

- - Learn how to execute foundation and soft foot check and adjustments.

- - Learn how to execute assembly/installation and alignment of the equipment

- - Learn how to execute independently inspection of the above mentioned equipment

- The candidate will be also learn how to keep reliability of Customers assets and to support on proactive way all GE O&G customers
Qualifications/Requirements:    
- Engineering Degree or equivalent business experience.

- Minimum 2 years of related working experience in Oil & Gas industry within maintenance or installation field activities

- Good knowledge on rotating equipment installation/maintenance and/or control philosophy of Gas Turbines OR Centrifugal Compressors, OR Reciprocating Compressors, OR Steam Turbines and their auxiliaries (lube oil system, fuel gas system, seal gas system, steam system etc…)

- Ability to understand and implement mechanical drawings (section dwg; construction dwg; P&ID; alignment specification flushing/blowing procedure; piping specification; wiring diagram, etc…)

- Good English fluency both spoken and written

- Availability to frequent travel worldwide on and off-shore

- Good analytic and problem solving skills together with good interpersonal & organizational skills
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:    
Desired Characteristics:     Knowledge of Control Panel power up, MKV and MKVI control system knowledge, Electronic Troubleshooting and repair, Logic code interpretation and Troubleshooting, Oil & Gas Process, P&ID’s. Knowledge of installation, calibration and management of Turbine Control Panel (UCP), of the Auxiliary Panels, of the Direct Current Panel (DCP), battery charger and battery cells, Generator Control & Protection Panel (GCPP), Motor Control Centre (MCC), as well as the instrument calibration, cable integrity check, hardware and software check, troubleshooting and modification of the above mentioned control systems. Be able to verify the correct installation, setting and normal operation of the control panel according to the control specification, site setting and customer requirements; always assuring the system is working according to the safety requirement. Advise on interpretation of GE drawings for installation. Work closely with Instruments Engineer. Equipment start-up, diagnostic and troubleshooting Follow up all quality aspects according to six sigma approach and GE Oil&Gas QA manual and procedures. Working knowledge and application of EHS rules. Effective communication to HQs, through company e-tools (NCM – e-SMS). Good experience in HGPI and major inspection or modular/engine exchange activities - Experience on hyper compressor (polyethylene plant) - Laser alignment device knowledge
