This British International School in New Cairo is recruiting for a Pre Foundation Stage teacher to start in August 2014.
Applicants must be UK qualified teachers with QTS and experience of teaching the British National Curriculum.

The School
The School is located in a gated community just outside of New Cairo; it is around a 30-minute drive from the airport. The local area is clean, green and expanding, attracting many middle class families who wish to live away from the traffic and pollution of Cairo.
The School caters for children from Early Years to Year 6; the majority of pupils are local children, though there are also a number of expats. Pupils at the School follow the British National Curriculum with elements of the Egyptian curriculum. Local teachers teach the Egyptian aspect for around one hour a day.
In reception, children are encouraged to build upon their knowledge of numbers through the New Heinemann Maths scheme. Literacy is developed through the Big Cat reading scheme. The school also encourage reception pupils to participate in extra-curricular activities and field trips.
The School is accredited through a number of well-known organisations including, the British Council, British Schools in the Middle East (BSME) and University of Cambridge International Examinations.
The Location
Egypt is one of the most historic and diverse countries on earth. Famous attractions such as the Pyramids of Giza, Luxor, the Nile and diving in the Red Sea draw thousands of tourists every year. However Egypt also has a large expat population, drawn to the country by; a low cost of living, warm climate and the nation's rich and historic culture.
This School is located just outside Cairo, a bustling city with a population of around 18 million. The city is diverse and metropolitan providing residents with a huge variety of shopping, dining and cultural opportunities.
New Cairo is just a short distance from the bustling capital. It is a new suburb, which was purposely built to expand from the main city. The area is made up of large gated neighbourhoods and is ideally located to main transport links as well as other amenities.
The Package
* Salary - tax free and dependent on experience. Between, £16,200 - £22,200
* Free furnished school accommodation or rent allowance LE 4000.00/month single, LE8000.00/month married teaching couple
* In some cases, the school will arrange furnished accommodation in a privately owned apartment rented by the school
* Initial Salary Bonus of £200.00 nett
* Mid contract CAI - LHR - CAI flight
* A married teacher with dependants has their spouse and up to 3 children included in the benefits package receiving free education at the school, medical cover, flights, membership of the 5* Al-Rehab Sports Club or the 5* Madinaty Sports Club.
* Free transport 3 days a week to malls etc
* Working day approximately 7:30 to 14.30 Sunday to Thursday.
* Approximately 180 working days per year
Cost of living in Egypt is very low, and people can generally live well on £500/month. Giving teachers the opportunity to save the rest of their salary.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must be UK qualified teachers with a relevant UK teaching qualification and QTS and experience teaching in UK schools.
