Description
This position falls under the Marketing & Advertising Global Category Management team within Global Supply Management (GSM).The primary function of the overall Category Management team is to: - Maximize AXP’s purchasing power, by developing and driving global category, supplier and sourcing strategies, across multiple categories to reduce total expenses and optimize leverage. Description The Procurement Analyst facilitates the intake of Agency and Supplier requests from Marketing and Advertising teams and helps shepherd them through the procurement process. The role’s focus includes: customer intake management, compliance adherence and communications. The role combines superior customer service with flawless process and project management skills. Primary and more specific responsibilities for Procurement Analyst role within the Category team in includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Logging intake requests into a database
- Interfacing with requestors
- Assessing completeness of documents including intake forms, Statements of Work, contracts etc.
- Gather and review incoming information. Check overall reasonableness. Review, cleanse and analyze, confirm to GSM requirements
- Ensuring accuracy of all documents
- Shepherding clients through multiple compliance procedures, ensuring appropriate information and approvals are documented
- Facilitating approvals
- Raising requisitions in our requisition system
- Following up with clients on status or missing documentation or approvals
- Identifying and resolving any client issues
- Reviewing basic statement of work, rates and compliance related procedures
- Troubleshooting and provide insights and outstanding customer service for business unit and internal customers
- Interfacing with additional internal departments and third parties including, finance, A&P, managed service providers, contractual and compliance teams
- Interfacing with suppliers, agencies, and or customers in following up and or completing requirements
- Providing subject matter expertise in transaction processing, SOW review, benchmarking, and adherence to AXP compliance and regulatory requirements
- Providing support and help desk type support for BU’s and customers as required

Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Superior Customer Service Skills
- Must be comfortable managing a high volume of requests
- Project Management and Coordination Skills
- Process orientation and an end-to-end mindset
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
- Ability to work under direction and to exercise independent judgment
- Ability to remain cool under pressure and effectively multi-task
- Previous customer service and processing experience a plus
- Familiarity with Ariba a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Bachelors Degree
- 1-3+ years professional experience in Procurement or Operations related function
- Primary Location: India
- Schedule: Full-time, afternoon shift ( 3.30 PM– 11.30 PM Indian Standard Time i.e.5AM – 1 PM EDT ). However should be open to work outside these hours to meet any urgent business deliverable
