CORPORATE RELATIONSHIP MANAGER, ISLAMIC BANKING
The position
Reporting
to the Unit Head, Islamic banking, the purpose of this role is to drive
sales in Shariah compliant corporate products and services at the Head
Office and manage corporate relationships in Islamic Banking (corporate
liability/asset customers), facilitate marketing of corporate Islamic
Banking business proposition for the bank whilst ensuring growth of
corporate liabilities/assets for the bank under the Islamic Banking to
maximize the Bank’s revenue
Key Responsibilities
•Grow the liabilities and asset portfolio in the bank for Islamic Banking
•To maintain close relationship between the bank and its corporate customers for Islamic Banking
•Identify new business opportunity for corporate under Islamic Banking
•Introduce new Shari’ah Banking products to corporate to address customers ever changing needs
•Identify and drive related value chains including undertaking business intelligence for both new and existing portfolio
•Coordinate
and work with the client delivery teams on various cross sell
initiatives that will result in increased customer usage of our existing
products and services
•To ensure quality service delivery to corporate customers to achieve agreed service levels
•Be involved in product development of Shari’ah compliant Islamic banking products
•Determine
target market clients that KCB wants to market and make customer visits
to ensure that they are happy with our products and solve complaints
that may arise
•Maintain an equitable balance between risk and return/revenue and work to establish broad based relationships at the county
•Prepare and maintain appropriate reports
The Person
•A university degree preferably in a business related discipline.
Possession of a postgraduate degree or professional qualification in a
related field is desirable but not essential.
•3 years management experience in Banking with extensive exposure to Relationship Management.
•Experience in development and marketing of Shari’ah Banking products.
•Experience in managing relationships that have significant Islamic Banking exposure.
•Understanding of Islamic Banking.
•Ability to work well with minimum supervision
•Ability to deliver excellent results under pressure
•Excellent interpersonal skills
•Persuasive oral and written communication skills
•Marketing and negotiation skills
•Commercial awareness
•Good leadership and planning skills
•Excellent Credit Skills
